Printer Problems

Hi all I have a laptop set up on a wireless network from my router and I want to connect a printer to my network to save keep having to run upstairs to plug the laptop in!
Any ideas? the printer I have is a cannon i550 but am thinking of changing it to an all ino ne can any one recomend a good workhorse that can be networked?

It depends how much you want to spend.
If you don't mind paying more then you can get printers with built in print server that will connect directly to your network via ethernet.

Alternaitvely, you can use a PC as your print server and print through it off the network. The only thing is that in this case you have to have the Pc the printer is conneced to always on.

Why not just share the printer via windows, the upstairs pc has to be on for thes to work, but it does work.
