Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
I am surprised to read all the moans from people who are going to have to wait a couple of months for extra HD channels - how about the poor sods in Scotland & N. Ireland who, as far as I understand, aren't going to get ITV1 HD at all?
The excuse given is "Customers in Scotland and Northern Ireland won’t receive ITV 1 HD, as STV and UTV don’t give access to branded services from ITV 1", but we can already get ITV1 on channel 853, so what's the problem?
We have to wait for STV to go HD - that'll be never!
I'm surprised I haven't read any comments about this on this forum.
How can we get this sorted - after all, this is probably one of the most important channels - let's face it, BBC HD is only part time and chooses to carry random programmes not all of which benefit from HD presentation.
