My aim is to provide reports and news about Horse Racing in general and although this has not been much discussion yet it does seem that some members do like to keep up to date with the latest news and as long as you are happy with it l will continue to do it on a day to day basis.

CHELTENHAM Gold Cup hero Long Run has come back a stronger horse for this season's campaign, Nicky Henderson said on Thursday, but his jumping technique still needs work according to the trainer.

"When I went to see him three weeks before he came back in I didn't recognise him," Henderson said. "He's grown into a fantastic looking horse. It's not always the good looking horses that are the best but it's quite nice when they are."

IN one of the most thrilling finishes in the history of the Melbourne Cup, Dunaden (Mikel Delzangles/Christophe Lemaire) touched off the Ed Dunlop-trained Red Cadeaux to claim a second successive victory for France in Australia's most celebrated race.

The photo looked too close to call and nobody would have been surprised if the A$6 million event had ended up in a dead-heat, but after a lengthy deliberation, Dunaden was called the winner by a pixel.

BHA chairman Paul Roy has expressed disappointment and frustration at the levy deal finalised with 15 minutes to spare on Monday night.

However racing's three representatives in the process voted against the deal and Roy said: "There are positive elements to the 51st levy scheme, but it is disappointing overall and deeply frustrating that its terms can be imposed on racing by the bookmakers' committee and independentmembers of the Levy Board.
