Re: Raspberry Pi - a revolution?
All set up and working on the 47inch TV in the sitting room - I had to use Natalies Blackberry charger in the end as the usb one I had wasn't up to it.
I can't do much with it until I get Natalie to install ORCA later on, I tried using it with my magnifier but it wasn't powerful enough.
I may try to ssh into it from the main pc and install it through that.

Re: Raspberry Pi - a revolution?
Interesting that they've now put a mini-usb socket as the power connector

Re: Raspberry Pi - a revolution?
I /think/ I'm the only one on here to get theirs as of yet and no I haven't.
A fair few people have on the official site though.

Re: Raspberry Pi - a revolution?
So here are a couple more pictures.
I have got dosbox running now so it can play some older games.
Sound is now /starting/ to work. The ALSA drivers are very early so not %100 reliable yet.
edit - I'd probably get more out of it if I knew more about linux....

A tip - if you do get a Pi and want to do web browsing install chromium browser its better than the default one (midori)

Re: Raspberry Pi - a revolution?
I wonder what the chances are of there being a BBC micro emulator for this gadget? That'd be me installed in front of my telly forever.
---------- Post added at 10:41 ---------- Previous post was at 10:38 ----------
Edit ... A quick google reveals that it has BBC BASIC support, but presumably it would need to be able to handle machine code and also emulate the 6502 processor in order for games actually written for the BBC to run on it.

Re: Raspberry Pi - a revolution?
Drool ... I have Beeb withdrawl since I upgraded to Lion on my Mac. The Horizon emulator no longer works because Apple withdrew PowerPC support from Lion.
