Amazing gesture from everyone. She had about £500 pounds raised from friends and family until her name was announced and people found her page. Now the donations at currently at £120,000.

Donations to a fund-raising page set up by a 30-year-old woman who collapsed close to the London Marathon finish line have surged since her death.
Claire Squires, a hairdresser from North Kilworth, Leicestershire, collapsed near Birdcage Walk on the final stretch of the 26.2 mile course.
Thousands of people made donations on Monday, raising more than £100,000 for the Samaritans charity by 19:00 BST.
Ms Squires was the 11th participant to die since the event began in 1981.
On her JustGiving fund-raising page she had said: "I'm running the London Marathon for Samaritans because they continuously support others."
Paramedics attended to her but she died at the scene, marathon organisers said.

Sounds like an amazing woman and one who'll be sorely missed by everyone who knew her and benefited from her efforts. It's so tragic when truly decent people like this die so young, made even more so because she was helping others.
Her family and loved ones can be truly proud of all that she gave and achieved in her life and I'm certain her memory will be properly honoured in some way.

I never knew that, I'm surprised that there hasn't been call to ban the event with a mortality rate like that.
More dangerous than boxing.

A lot more people take part, especially amateurs. Many of those non-professionals with have pre-existing conditions unfortunately.

Yes, deaths have been a regular if infrequent feature, sadly. Having said that, 11 fatalities since 1981 is a very small percentage indeed given the vast numbers (c. 800,000) who've taken part. Also it's not a feature of the particular event unlike, say, the Grand National, people drop dead when out running on a regular basis for all sorts of reasons. Of course, none of the above reduces the impact on the loved ones of those who've died.
