VM Player on XBOX.

Do VM have any plans to get the tv player on XBOXLIVE? I've had my sky put back on after canceling VMtv for various reasons but one big reason was my kid lost skytv over xboxlive when we canceled.

Its bassically like multiroom but free as long as you have a valid skysub. I think this would be a bigger pull than tivo. Although you dont get all channels you get Sky movies live channels but also an A-Z ondemand of all movies currently showing which is fantastic as it doesnt cost extra. I was also surprised to see Sky Atlantic on it aswell.

So why dont VM offer this? But then I guess sky would stop them putting sky channels on the service.

You can only access it if you have a multiroom subscription or a Sky Broadband subscription - so it isn't free.

I've used it myself and it is very good, but given that Sky Player has been around for years and VM Player is pretty much in its infancy I don't see it being something happening any time soon.

You don't need multioom or skyBB to get the ondemand movies or ondemand sky1,skyliving, mtv, nickleodeon, and various other channels content. You do need multiroom to get the live TV for all availible channels though.

You only get the ondemand movies if you have the movie subs but you get ALL the other ondemand content free if you have a sub. Oh and skynews is free lol.

"Existing Sky customers with Xbox Live Gold membership will be able to access Sky Player's on-demand content in line with the channels they are able to access through their core Sky TV subscription. Customers with Sky Multiroom or Sky Broadband Unlimited subscriptions are additionally able to access live channels for no extra charge."

Sky Player uses Microsoft Silverlight which won't work in the Wii web browser

Virgin Player - not 100% sure but I doubt it

Re: VM Player on XBOX.

I've just logged in to my Dad's account - VM Player doesn't seem to have any live content at all? (This being the big plus with Sky Player!).

Just acquire the content elsewhere and stream it.

Another good suggestion Neil. Thank you.

We are currently talking to a number of partners about how we could launch player on other devices. As soon as we launch the full service online we will be looking to roll out the player service to more devices.
