Given that after the olympics, 24 SD and 24 HD channels will be removed, I doubt there will be a problem, unless you're expecting VM to be adding loads of channels in the near future?
I don't know the answer to this; are any other providers i.e., Sky or Freeat adding the channels that you want?

It is because of attitudes like this that the Disability Discrimination Act had to be introduced.
If the feeds aren't carried I shall refer the matter to the relevant regulatory authorities to allow them to adjudicate on the matter.

It's not actually 'the reason' that act replaced an older outdated act(s) and is more focused for employees and employers. Not for a company not showing an event.

No one is discriminating against anyone.

Yet more discriminatory nonsense. If the channels turn up- great. If not, we will see what the regulatory bodies have to say.

Yes, that is true. I doubt that VM will be adding 48 channels anytime soon and, by the time they do, most customers will be on TiVo.

Incorrect, but let's not stray too far off topic.

I'm afraid I don't know the answer either. Anybody?

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 3.
from Channel4 website
"In addition, Channel 4 will broadcast three further streams of uninterrupted live coverage of a range of sports at the Paralympic Games. These will be available as three dedicated channels on the Sky platform, in both standard and high definition, as well as online at Channel4.com - with the streams also expected to launch on Virgin Media"
Surely that answers the question?

The DDA is irrelevant here, Stephen's analysis is correct. The suggestion that Virgin would not carry these streams for reasons of bigotry is not only ridiculous it's offensive. I am, however, sure that they'll arrive.

Two points -
Are VM showing these streams? It would appear so, and let's hope they do.
If they don't, is this discrimination under the DDA? No, it isn't (I checked with our Disability Services and Equality & Diversity teams).

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 3.
Does anyone know if Virgin will be broadcasting these events?
http://news.boxrec.com/news/2012/exc...elevision-deal
The shows will be on Primetime (SKY channel 498) on a free-to-air basis with a two-and-a-half to three hour time slot. Fans can also watch the action on Freeview (channel 112) or online at www.sportstonightlive.com.
Whilst Primetime PPV events are shown on Virgin, we don't tend to get access to their free to air events. Any chance of this coming soon?

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 3.
ESPN snaps up French Ligue 1 football rights.
ESPN has secured rights to broadcast top-flight club football from France next season, and also renewed its agreements to the Italian Serie A, Dutch Eredivisie and Russian Premier League (And Germany).
(MB - Still no news on the SPL rights this season)

The Sports Tonight stuff started on PrimeTime just before Euro2012 - and is still there.
The press release is a bit misleading as only a small handfull of receivers can get the broadcasts on Freeview 112. Most Freeview boxes and tvs are incompatible.
