I think you're right MM, they did plead for 3 days for the opportunity to bid again when BT won the rights.

That link says:
Quote:
It is not yet clear whether customers who get BT Sport through Virgin cable deals will have to pay.

All we know is talks are ongoing.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
It seems to be in BT's interests to have this new Europe channel on Virgin Media....

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
Think you jumped ahead a bit there MB, the link doesn't necessarily have anything to do with VM - just that BT's BB customers won't be paying. Puts pressure on VM (and Sky) I would think.
I believe BT are playing the long game and we won't see the results of their move into TV & sport until 2018-2020 when BT's GFast technology becomes widely available. That's when VM should worry.
Best news is there was no mention of Andy Townsend.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
Quite shocked they are still going to offer BT Sports for free to Infinity customers. I hope they come to an agreement with VM, but I'm sure a price hike will on the horizon at the very least.
On a side note, it's good to see 4K is about to take off in the UK.

From what I've read, if you just have BT broadband you'll be charged £5 extra if you want BT Sports too. Those who have BT TV & broadband have sport included. And if you want to watch BT sport in HD, the price has increased from £3 to £4. Hopefully this is correct, as I've just switched to BT, and I'd like sport to be included in my package. Not sure what happens to existing customers who are already on contracts - I suppose BT have to pay for their increased sports coverage somehow though.
EDIT: I think most of this was in the BT Sports Press release above, so sorry for repeating.
