Should be sufficient, but don't know how much bandwidth streaming uses, I have a 1Gbit network at home and earlier on I was streaming from 1 box to another and it kept displaying slow network error and stopping the stream.

You should have no problems , I have both my Sky Q 2TB box and Sky Q Mini connected with WiFi to my Sky Q hub and have no problems streaming around the home.

Re: Virgin Media V6 - Powered by TiVo(new STB)
Well here is some hidden info about v6. If you get a 2nd box you dont get the discounted price i was told
£40 1st box
£14.99 activation
£99 2nd box
£0 Activation
There is a mention of a manned install charge but i cant see that, but that is £40 but i think that has been waived. So if your phoning up for one box its £54 to £64 and a 2nd box is £154 not £129 and install date, i asked to raise a complaint about the higher price i was told it is what it is and she has dealt with the complaint in the order

AIUI, the way that VM deal with customer complaints is to note them down. That's it. A total waste of time that leads customers into believing that the matter will be looked into unless they probe further.
Nothing will happen unless you insist that its escelated.

How did they arrive at that price Martin?
To those worried about using WiFi, my router is in my office on the second floor and my V6 in my living room. The signal varies between 50 and 65%.
Though I have had the odd problems with the V6, the WiFi hasn't presented any difficulties.
Will Homeplugs be provided free of charge for those who need them?

Hi richard how they got to this price is beyond me and i would go back through and check, and if you can send a screenshot for the email then it gives customers evidence to fight from. The said there is no system to alter this price make up. How you got a instal for thursday is impressive i asked them they said there is no installs till new year due to waiting on the boxes coming in to meet with demand

Re: Virgin Media V6 - Powered by TiVo(new STB)
I thought Richard price is 10p out. I have worked out. 2xV6 installs at £49.95 is £99.99 plus £14.99 activation is £114.98. Do you only pay 1 installation fee for 2 boxes!?!
I have mine booked for 12th January. That was the earliest date. So Thursday impressive

Re: Virgin Media V6 - Powered by TiVo(new STB)
you need to order multiple boxes via retentions.
I ordered my 3 this morning.
the codes came online at 8am, but when I tried to order there was some missing codes apparently so he couldn't order any more than 1 box.
But he called me back after about 20 minutes of speaking to the TiVo team I think he said and got the codes... apparently it will be updated later today.
For multiple boxes though, best way is retentions.

What price did you pay for the three boxes

Virgin seem to be confused, an advisor at retentions said it should be £49 a box no matter how many he is away to check

Im already out of contract, and my £7 discount ends in January so they may of been factored in.
Plus I took Vivid 200 Gamer at same time... I actually wanted 300 but at £20 extra after 12 months... most of which is paying for the homeworks stuff I don't want I couldn't justify it. will grab 300 when released as a separate tier.
Im also on top tier for everything.
3x boxes, cost was £85 something

Re: Virgin Media V6 - Powered by TiVo(new STB)
If any advisor is telling you to pay £99 for the second box, they re misinformed and need to therefor speak with a manager, not all staff are trained to understand this, and they have been told to do a order but apply a £50 credit for every multiple box

I don't know how he did it, but he assured me that it was the 3 boxes for that price.
He may of got some codes out of the TiVo team or something, because he said the codes he needed for multiple boxes were not on the system... so he phoned another team and called back then said the codes would be put on later in the day.
