Which is crazy when you consider where British interest is likely to end.

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 1
Re Wimbledon - according to the BBC (last October), they have had coverage extended to 2017.
Quote:
Wimbledon will continue to be broadcast on the BBC until at least 2017.
BBC Sport has agreed a three-year extension to its current contract as host broadcaster and UK rights holder, extending its relationship with the All England Lawn Tennis Club to 90 years.
The new deal, which reaffirms the BBC's long term commitment to delivering the best sporting events to licence fee payers, will continue to give audiences unprecedented access to the tournament across all platforms including TV, radio, online, red button, mobile and tablet.
|
And the Guardian states
Quote:
"We know that Wimbledon fortnight has a very special place in the hearts of the UK public. We are delighted that our new agreement ensures coverage of The Championships remains free to air and available to licence fee payers."
|
So we should be able to, if we wish, watch all of the Wimbledon Fortnight on the BBC.

One would hope so to take the heat out of the price increases coming our way.

Perhaps they'll announce that they're complaining to the OFT over Sky & F1 - No HD version on VM, & you have to subscribe to Sky Sports to get it at all. Just have any HD package to get it in HD on Sky - nice & fair!
We'd get nothing else from Sky for a while, rather than the scraps we get from their table, but if the OFT sorted them properly, we might get a fair deal once it was sorted. I pay Sky a lot of money through Virgin Media, why don't they treat me like a customer???

My TiVo guide says "Teleshopping", but VM will have a commercial agreement for broadcast times. The teleshopping isn't part of the channels output agreement.

Sky Go is a Sky service for Sky customers if you want mobile access to content take that up with VM. Sky Go has content from other channels like ESPN , Nat Geo etc these deals were struck by Sky for its own customers , what makes you think Sky are responsible for providing you with content on the go your a customer of VM.

Correct, and in fact Virgin have player. Whilst Sky Go allows customers access to some of it's channel line up, Virgin player allows access to some of it's on demand library, so whilst they're different products they very much play to the individual strengths of the companies providing them.
As it happens, non-Sky customers can buy monthly passes to Sky Go, and it includes the sports and movies channels as well as Sky Atlantic, so a possible work around for cable customers who want Atlantic would be to cancel their premium services through Virgin and buy them directly from Sky.
