Trouble connecting PS3 and Laptop to wireless network at the same time

Hi everyone!

I have a problem that I hope you can help me with.

I have VirginMedia Broadband 2mb with a Buffalo Airstation Wireless Router to the modem. (WHR-G54S)

If I turn on my Laptop (Vista) and PS3 is off, laptop connects automatically beautifully to the internet.
If I turn on my PS3 and laptop is off, PS3 connects automatically (equally as beautifully)
I turn on laptop 1st and then PS3 - both connect no problem.

The problem is that if I turn on the PS3 1st and then the laptop, the laptop won't connect to the internet and only will connect locally. As soon as I disable the PS3 connection, the laptop finds the internet!

This has been happening now for months and I have tried to resolve it but with no luck and it is driving me mental!

I have tried using all help on vista but still won't do it.
The router is definitely set to router mode.

Does anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

Any help gratefully received!!

Thanks, Crackerdaq

Have you checked the IP address settings of your laptop? If you;d set a fixed IP address you'd get that problem.

Otherwise I'd check what addresses your router was giving out in the DHCP leases.

Thanks for your reply - How would I check that?
