Yesterday I cooked a smoked bacon hock - roasted it, then make up a casserole with the meat, cider, tomatoes, paprika and white beans. A small joint of meat will feed 5 easily. Now need to get back to the Indian shops where nice big jars of white beans only cost 69p and very little water (unlike supermarket tins).
