Hotmail problem.
I've recently got myself a new hotmail account but I keep getting emails from ebay about stuff I'm supposed to be watching, plus a couple of emails from irate buyers, trouble is, I've never had an ebay account. Is there any way to stop this? The emails are routed through ebay so replying to them would be useless.
Ta.

Re: Hotmail problem.
Could you possibly have used the same user name as an obsolete account that was associated with an ebay user?

Re: Hotmail problem.
Wait it out and don't reply back, keep marking the incoming mails as junk (maybe set up a filter if Hotmail can do it).
I used to have a similar problem with 1&1 customers sending support requests and even billing details to my Gmail address because they were getting one letter in the alias wrong. Some used to get right upset as they weren't getting a response.

Re: Hotmail problem.
If they are genuine ebay emails, they will show the user id associated with your email. You could create your own ebay account and then contact the user id via ebay and ask them to change the email address associated with their account. They should see the message in 'My Ebay'.

Re: Hotmail problem.
They could be scam emails just sent to any address in the hope you will be foolish enough to acces your ebay account (you don't have one so you can't) throught the email link?

Re: Hotmail problem.
These are SCAM emails and not sent by ebay or paypal, I've had them recently and all they're trying to do is to get your ebay and/or paypal password from you..
If you check the URLs on the links you'll see that it goes to something like www.ebay. ililili.com and not www.ebay.com

Re: Hotmail problem.
It's probably quite an effective scam, you see an email saying that someone has sold something on your ebay account so you click on the link wondering what the hell is going on..

Re: Hotmail problem.
Similar thing happened with my own registered domain. Someone signed up to Facebook with their-christian-name@mydomain.co.uk which redirects to my Gmail account. I simply set a filter up to put all those emails in junk.
