Wonderful invention the search engine..every researcher's friend.
Until one wants photos of real windows in situ.
All I can get is MS logos and symbols.
And yes I've tried the -windows trick.I nearly introduced the PC tower to the front window as it doesn't apparently know what a window is.

Might come across as being a bit of a smart alec here, but did you try searching for house windows? I did on Google Images and got a load of windows back with no MS logos in sight.

Thanks I'll try that.
Feeling very tetchy as I have a combination of loose bowels and intense stomach cramps so it's hard to concentrate.

Obviously the "s" is the differentiator (if that's even a word!)

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
My moan is about all the O2 customers across Twitter, Facebook, forums etc who say they'll be demanding 'compensation' for the lack of service yesterday.
I hope all they get is a refund of a day's line rental. No telco offers 100% up-time and their contract states this. When people say "that's not fair, nobody reads all that" who's fault is it?
Compensation is for people with legitimate injuries, those whose life has been massively disrupted (not being able to text your mates is not 'disruption') and victims of miscarriages of justice etc, not people who "couldn't get on Facebook for 3 hours".

I know it must be frustrating. My business phone is on O2 but it's actually working to my advantage. I stop today for two weeks holiday and usually have a couple of days of madness from those I support when word gets out I'm stopping for hols. Strangely quiet my mobile yesterday so I'm hoping the problem perists until at least noon.
Does anybody know how to cause an exchange server to malfunction for a few hours?

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
Apparently they've got 2G up and working so if you switch 3G off, calls and texts will return. Oooohhhh the inconvenience of not being able to use 3G, I demand 6 months' free line rental....

You're exaggerating again. nobody wants 6 months (free line rental)
I think 1 month will be enough for the major inconvenience that I've suffered from it all.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 7
If you read some of the comments left by customers on o2's facebook page you'll see I was not exaggerating at all.
1 months' free line rental? Not a chance. You accepted o2's T&Cs when you started their service and they do not guarantee 100% up-time. A refund of the time the service was unavailable should suffice unless you can prove to them you suffered significant financial loss.
