Re: Formula 1 2011 season

It was great to see someone other than Vettel win.

So I might as well enjoy the last races as I'm not watching it from next year, as I cannot see the point of only watching 50% of them.

I bet the BBC only get the boring races

Re: Formula 1 2011 season

Sebastian Vettel won the Korean Grand Prix from McLaren's Lewis Hamilton to help Red Bull wrap up a second consecutive constructors' championship. Vettel jumped Hamilton on the first lap to take the lead and was unchallenged on his way to a 10th win of the season.

Re: Formula 1 2011 season

Formula 1 can expect a new and improved Lewis Hamilton next season, his father Anthony has told BBC Sport.

Quote:
"He's turned a corner in everything he's done, his lifestyle and his love of motorsport," said Anthony.

Quote:
"You've not seen Lewis Hamilton yet, you've seen a young Lewis Hamilton. Now a new Lewis Hamilton is coming."

I think the reason he's not been himself is he might have spilt with his GF.

Red Bull's champion Sebastian Vettel was untouchable as he became the first man to win the Indian Grand Prix.

Quote:
BBC F1 commentator Martin Brundle said: "Button's the only man recently who can hold a candle to Vettel on race pace."

Lets hope it is more competive next season.

Re: Formula 1 2011 season

At last the stewards made the right decision. You could clearly see that Massa looked to his left and saw Lewis, and then turned in on him.

I'm not saying that Lewis shouldn't be blamed for any of the incidents with Massa, but most of them would normally be put down to a racing incident if it wasn't for the fact that they were between Lewis and Massa.

Yes l am not saying Lewis Hamilton is perfect in his driving but l do think he has been picked on by the stewards and the media a bit unfairly in the last couple of years.

He is a racer, and to win races you have to take risks. The main difference between the drivers when you get to an F1 level isn't driving skill, it's bravery. And the braver you are the more risks you take. Senna was a perfect example of this.

As for Vettel. I don't think he is the best driver by a long way. He just has the best car by far. This is the unfortunate thing about F1, one team always seems to dominate. As a racing driver I should think that Vettel finds it boring when he doesn't have to race wheel to wheel with anyone. However, we have seen in the past that he can't handle pressure.

The answer to that is no as the colour of skin is not of relevance in my mind nor should it be in the minds of the stewards.

Yes l have to agree with a lot of what you are saying as when Vettel has been put under pressure in the past he is not as good as he thinks he is.

The worst thing is that he got repremanded for that joke. I know people who went to school with Lewis, and that is just his sense of humor...he likes Ali G

+1 but Webber has the same car, and with the same setup he's 1-2 10ths off Vettel. It would be nice to see Vettel along side Alonso, Hamilton, Schumy et-al.

Tounge in *cheek* (ref to what Hamilton said after Massa & Hamilton had a little love bump)
