Help! Sky Premium Channels

I want to upgrade to the Sky Sports and Movie Collection but I'm looking for the best value way to do it.

I have a M starter pack TV package and to add Sky Sports and movies it's around £42, with M+ it's £32.

Obviously logically it would make sense to upgrade to M+ for £8 extra and have the extra channels (plus catch up/on demand) - and cheaper too.

But would upgrading to M+ put me into another contract? I seen a offer on my virgin media section which said

Upgrade from M to M+

Upgrade before 31st July 2013 to get £5 a month off for the first 6 months.**

100+ top channels, including 6 in HD

500GB TiVo box

Get all this from just £3 a month for the first 6 months (instead of £8)

12 month contract applies when taking a TiVo box

Does this mean it won't put me into a 12 month contract if I don't ask for another Tivo box should I ring them to check
