Re: Raspberry Pi - a revolution?
In anticipation of getting the Pi and using "Linux" I bought this months Linux Format with has stuff on the Pi.
The DVD has a bootable disc whih lets you choose what one of the three linux OS it has.
I'm currently typing this out under Fedora 17

Ok any Raspberry Pi case recommendations? Something that will protect it well and be a full enclosure.

I'm sure I have seen one, but that might be a home mod, will try and find via my search history.

Re: Raspberry Pi - a revolution?
A question about this link
http://elinux.org/RPi_Easy_SD_Card_Setup
When copying the downloaded image from the raspberry Pi site it says use Win32DiskImager and states the Debian OS, I'm am right in thinking you can use this software for the others on the Raspberry site? (I used this to create a Debian SD)
I ain't got it yet just getting ready to go when it does arrive.
Secondly if I decide to resuse the SD card for something else who do I remove the Linux partition, I'm guessing that a format would only remove the windows visibe part.

Re: Raspberry Pi - a revolution?
Windows should still see that partition on the card, I know my Mac does. Have reformated my SD a couple of times already before trying a different Linux distro.
Yes you can use any of those, debian is the best though. I tried Fedora and it was really slow and laggy.

Re: Raspberry Pi - a revolution?
When I did the install on the SD all I can only see is a 75MB partition, unless its via the disk manage option

Re: Raspberry Pi - a revolution?
It was on the Mac disk manager so it may be the same for windows.
