******* 'human rights lawyer' to be struck off
Quote:
A human rights lawyer who brought claims of torture and murder against British troops has admitted misconduct charges, a tribunal has heard.
Phil Shiner, lead solicitor for the now defunct firm Public Interest Lawyers, accepted nine allegations of acting without integrity and recklessness.
The tribunal heard that Mr Shiner accepted the charges meant he will be struck off at the end of the case.
The MoD has spent more than £100m on Iraq-related claims since 2004.
Among the charges against him, Mr Shiner accepted an allegation that he acted recklessly by claiming at a press conference in February 2008 that the Army had unlawfully killed, tortured and mistreated Iraqi civilians.
Mr Shiner admitted nine more charges in part, accepting he acted without integrity but denying dishonesty.

Let's hope being struck off isn't the only punishment meted out to this character.

I also hope the MoD persues compensation from him and leaves him pennieless, as I hope any of our armed forces whose career was comprimised by false allegations.

How about he is sued into financial oblivion and jailed for a very long time for perverting the course of justice.

The shamed far-left lawyer Phil Shiner is before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal for his role in the vexatious claims against British soldiers who served in Iraq. An old CND comrade of Jeremy Corbyn, Shiner’s firm Public Interest Lawyers has already been closed down in disgrace and now Shiner faces 24 charges of his own. He has today admitted 18 of those charges, including that he acted recklessly and without integrity. The Law Society Gazette reports:

One can only hope he will be stripped of all his assets and that they are donated to deserving forces causes.
I wonder if lefty comics like the guardian will now tell the truth about him in their editorials...

I hope this isn't the end of the matter and he'll now be on the receiving end of some tough justice.

More will be lining up to take his place, but with a bit more forethought before attacking our brave lads.

They might take his place in the type of cases he is going for but if they do so in the way he did then hopefully they'll be struck off too.

Re: ******* 'human rights lawyer' to be struck off
Getting struck off is a start but only that he needs to be hit with the full force of the law and made an example of so that nobody does anything like this in future. I won't wait for certain media to be as critical of him and he will probably retain some sympathy from some jounalists.

Re: ******* 'human rights lawyer' to be struck off
A couple of months in the glasshouse would have given him valuable time to reflect on what rights he deserves. ****
