A HUGE £20,000 haul of cocaine has been recovered by delighted detectives – after a dozy drugs baron shopped HIMSELF to cops.
It’s believed that the drugged-up dealer ended up so paranoid after sampling his own product that he dialled 999 and claimed a group of knife-wielding thugs were trying to batter down his door.
But, when police arrived at his home in Renfrew, all they found was the 18-year-old man hyperventilating while holding a white plastic bag filled with the Class A powder.
And, to make matters worse for the sky-high suspect, it seems the angry mob outside his door was just a figment of his drug-induced imagination.

Police in Silicon Valley got a little bit of a result, thanks to Apple's find my ipad service.

They used said service to track down a reported stolen ipad. When they got an address, they went to the apartment, knocked and were rather surprised to be let in without question.

They were even more surprised when they found not only the iPad, but 780lb of Crystal Meth (street value: $35m) just laying around the apartment.

TWO alleged car thieves have been arrested after running into Bromley police station whilst trying to escape police...

... In an attempt to flee from officers, the occupants got out the car and ran into the station's front office where they were immediately arrested.

Another contender:

On February 16, at around 10am, he entered the Paddy Power store wearing a balaclava, pointed a gun at the manager and demanded “his money” back.

He addressed the manager by his first name during the robbery, and was handed £3,000 before fleeing the scene.

Having lost around £10,000 while gambling at the bookmakers the previous day, he was quickly identified as the suspect and arrested on suspicion of robbery in Burnhill Road, Beckenham, at 4.40pm.

Hardly the fault of the Police if they have no legal powers to evict people who have found a loophole in the law.

No Derek not the polices fault at all, no stolen goods have been handled at all, three hundred quid is a perfectly reasonable sum for a thirty grand caravan and it sounded to me like the police.found the loophole for them.

Can the Police LEGALLY do anything further? Nope. You know the £300 story is codswallop, I know it's codswallop, the Police know its codswallop but can they prove it?

I'm 99.9% certain if the Police and CPS charged the current occupants with theft then another member of the travelling fratenity would appear saying he sold it to them at that price as a favour after buying it from another traveller called Paddy who sold it to him cheap as payment for such and such after he bought it from Irish Mick who got it as a wedding present from etc. etc. etc. In certain circles the concept of a 'thieves bargain' holds very little evidential value.

If it was a car or other object then the Police powers are a bit more clear, as it is they cannot LEGALLY seize the caravan, making people homeless. It's the same as squatting cases, the Police know fine well that the occupants didn't just chance upon an open window but broke in but unless they can prove it there is precisely sod all that can be done with the law about it.

Have they tried to make the occupants life harder, can they legally assist the victims of this crime further, have they brushed it away because travellers are troublesome and as for Paddy claiming he bought it of some one else, well nick him to, let a jury decide what's what not some namby pamby social worker or lawyer, it's about time life was made harder for these sort of people not easier.
