Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
I must admit I do not usually react like that on the road, I would never have did that if my children were in the car but I was on my own as so was the other driver. I think we annoyed each other equally this morning 1 with me holding him up by sticking to the speed limit and 2 with him sitting bumper to bumper I swear he must have been so close he was basically on the verge of touching my car, well not once I pressed the brakes slightly then he slightly held back but was still to close to my car for the road conditions IMO.

(Actually not a bad attitude to have in part, assume the other drivers are fools who are about to do something silly and adjust your driving so you can avoid their silliness. It may not be that silly, they could see something you can't for example.)

Practice Defensive driving Always give yourself an out.
In our town we have TWD's. (Typical Worthing Drivers) With the high proportion of the towns population being elderly and often driving on whilst confused or suffering dementia they can and will do just about anything.
I've seen them take the "short cut" on a roundabout instead of going 3/4 round. Indicate left and turn right. Go all the way round the outside of a two lane roundabout. Block the outside lane on a dual carriageway for miles because they eventually want to turn right but won't/can't drive fast enough to avoid getting boxed in and going down an OFF ramp straight into the oncoming traffic.
You name it I've seen it.

Ouchhhh!!!
Damaged one of my finger nails last year when I was trying to pull a large metal staple from a piece of wood and wound up with another staple sliding down the side of the nail and revealing some of the nail bed protruding out from the side of the nail. Over the next few days this became swollen, very red and excruciatingly painful to the touch. It was a couple of weeks before it all calmed down and in the meantime I lost count of how many times I knocked it and yelped in agony.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Well most of the tooth has gone but are referring me to the hospital as couldn't quite get it all out. Prescribed some antibiotics as there was a bit of an infection and amoxycillin doesn't agree with me so that'll be fun. Only the second time I've had an injection at the dentist so still traumatised :
Cheers

Another thing to consider is that it can cause calcium deficiency and you should either get regular blood tests and/or be prescribed calcium citrate.

Had an update today.
They tried to remove his ventilation and his blood pressure shot up so they aborted it.
He is on a kidney dialysis machine.
But most shocking, he's on the potentially fatal version of pnemonia, Legionaries Disease

The mention of Legionaries Disease brings terror to me!
Contaminated water being the cause I believe, someone not up to speed in possible air conditioner system failure?
Good luck to all concerned, hope they recover with no lasting effects.

De-icing the Freezer as the door is getting difficult to shut and the buildup of ice is enormous. Cant remember when it was last de-iced but probably 2014.

Got a funny feeling I'm about to be made redundant, probably by April. Just a feeling, I'm also feeling a little excited and a little worried to at the prospect.

I know what you mean TD in regards to (Got a dunny feeling) as at my hubby's work they do not know what is happening whether that will be Tupe, redundancy or redeployment. We a okay with redeployment or redundancy but not looking forward at all if it's TUPE and like you we should here in the next few weeks I would imagine no later than April. I personally think it will be TUPE where our situation is concerned although we a praying that is not the case.
I hope things turn out okay for you, take care

Having been there 4 times, I will say this.
Don't make any unnecessary expensive buys.
Start looking at registering for job search companies like Reed.
Watch out for people being extra nice.
But most of all DO NOT stress yourself, if your name is on a list to go nothing will make them change their mine.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Mine is, I seem to have gone from healthy Sunday night to waking up Monday with no voice. No cold, nothing. Now I am having trouble swallowing, so think it is tonsils flared up again. Great news. NOT!
