Re: What's your CPU history?

Cant recall what that C64 had back in 1984(?)...only used(played) with it for a few months.
Much preferred my snooker table as a kid myself back then plus i obviously did`nt have kids of my own to worry about....
WHAT went wrong

But anyway,in the 23 months since i first sat down at that first modern day pc i`d acquired(cough splutter) back in March of 2006....an M.E(500Mhz??).
One of a few i`ve upgraded as best i could and passed on to loving new homes.

The other ones i remember or still have/use within the house
AMD Athlon XP 1600 1.4Ghz
AMD Athlon XP 1800 1.6Ghz
AMD Athlon XP 2000 1.8Ghz
AMD Athlon XP 2200 1.8GHz
AMD 4000 cd x2 2.1Ghz(current Desktop) First build from completely new parts and athough it`s nowhere near as powerful as some i see used(owned) i just think back to what my wife often says.........it`s no the quantity but the quality that counts dear

And not to forget the odd one(desktop) out.....an Intel P4 3.2Ghz.

LAPTOPS...atm
Sony Vaio with a P4 1.6GHz
Dell Latitude C600 with a P3 750Mhz
Elitegroup A530 with a 1Ghz Transmeta processor.

I aint going out to the garage and listing all the other bits n bobs though.
She`d lock me n there if she could

EDIT:...Does my old Abacus i had as a kid count????;-)

Re: What's your CPU history?

Intel Pentium 120mhz
Amd Athlon XP 1600+
Intel Celeron D 335 @ 3.41ghz (Would do 3.65ghz, but ran way too hot for my liking)
Intel Pentium D 805 @ 3.8ghz
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 @ 3.2ghz
And atm... Intel Pentium D 805 @ 3.66ghz

And out of all those CPU's, the only one not still in use by family or friends, is the 120mhz Pentium. Nice long lifespans for my CPU's regardless of overclock
