Yeah, I'm not particularly interested in the Hobbit but I'll be renting it anyway for £1.99. Can't go wrong at that price for a new release!
Like you say, hopefully a lot of people take Sky up on this and it starts to happen more often.

Previously it was suggested there was an extra cost as you had to be upgraded to Entertainment Extra+ with HD channel. WAs worded as Entertainment Extra +HD channel, which just added to the confusion lol

Thanks for mentioning that Chad, I've heard a lot of great things about it when it was airing in America but I had since forgotten about it.
I've just grabbed the first 4 episodes from On Demand in HD and set up a series link for the rest. Looking forward to watching it!

Re: Sky TV (What's on soon)
There seems to be a few kindred spirits here in terms of the type of programming we enjoy.
Whilst this is not coming soon to SKY I am currently enjoying a show by the National Geographic channel in America. This will especially appeal to those who love American culture, nostalgia and grew up through the 80's.

Can be easily found via the usual torrent sites, if you don't mind that sort of thing.

I think there are 6 in total. I'm just about to watch episode 5. Not exactly highbrow entertainment but I am finding them very enjoyable. Episode 4 featured the Wall Street boom, yuppies and corruption. Plenty of greed in the 80's. Makes the likes of BT and SKY today look like amateurs

Re: Sky TV (What's on soon)
A new 4 part series starts tonight on BBC 2. The United States of Television. It's a look at the history of primetime TV in America. It could be interesting.
