Other companies leasing VM capacity.

I had been under the impression that VM no longer leased out capacity to other companies, but was today told that Scotrail use them for relaying their CCTV signals between the stations and their main control room.

Does anyone know if this is correct?

Don't know about Scotrail but VM sells its capacity to mobile phone operators for backhaul and I believe it also has a deal with Sky. VM Business has its own website with more info here on its wholesale offerings. http://virginmediabusiness.com/meeti...esale-Markets/

Re: Other companies leasing VM capacity.

The CCTV will be part of a business product, either CCTV itself or using a leased line of some other data product.

It's not leasing capacity as such. Also this type of circuit is common in VM Business and many corporate and public sector customers have services like that. They frequently run between VM networks and the Openreach offnet service.
