Re: The Musketeers
Why's that then?
I'd have thought Cardinal Richelieu pretty key.

Re: The Musketeers
Capaldi's too busy on Doctor Who. I've not read anything about how Musketeers will handle that, but given the character, I think they are going to have to re-cast the role.

Re: The Musketeers
Shame we cannot make dramas about our own history instead of swaning off to France for material.

Re: The Musketeers
Trouble is they keep dipping into the same few books over and over and so it all looks jaded.

Oh come on Paul how many times do they repeat shows to the point that everyone knows the plots by heart?

Re: The Musketeers
Me too. In fact we sit watching this version and keep trying to remember which animal played each character.

Re: The Musketeers
Actually I wasn't referring to Musketeers as it has been a considerable time since it's been done as a series if ever.
I was actually thinking of the Christie sagas and the repeated Pride and Prejudice and Dickens and Conan Doyle.
How about some Rudyard Kipling? Also I'm currently enjoying Blandings and the two series of Father Brown has been excellent.
Of course if they could do some Georgette Heyer as a costume drama, I think they might be on to a winner..I've never understood why so few of her tales have been made into drama.

Re: The Musketeers
I think this week's was one of the best yet.
Capaldi had some great scenes with Marie.
