Mmm, Dixons Group own brand goods breaking down within weeks of warranty expiry. What a surprise.
I have a theory that DSG changes its own-brand name and logo every few years, once the previous one has no reputation left. They wouldn't be the only ones - think CableTel > NTL > Virgin Media.
If you have the heart for a frustrating and possibly fruitless battle (and your original purchase receipt), take it back to Currys and try pointing out that EU trading standards rules mean that the equipment must perform as expected, for the duration of its expected life span. Whatever the expected life span of a TV is, it is longer than 14 months.
No doubt they will try to fob you off by pointing out that they only guarantee goods for 12 months. You might have to involve the CAB or your local trading standards. Or if it was dirt cheap and you have disposable income, you might just buy a new one. Just don't buy Logik.
