Wherever it's going, it's not helping to reduce tickets prices for fans.

IMO the worse to happen to football in this Country was the Premier League, it is now about money and little else. The same teams year after year are at the top, you then have the middle rankers , followed by the usual suspects fighting for survival.
At least it is not as bad as Spain is now.

Qatar's plans for Dream Football League could see English clubs offered £175m to compete
Quote:
Four English clubs will reportedly be offered £175 million each to play in a 24-team 'Dream Football League' in Qatar and other Gulf countries in 2015.
Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea are among the game's aristocrats targeted by the Qatari organisers, whose astonishing plan could redraw the world football map if it gains support.

That's amazing money, that's just for taking part. Enough to expand the squad significantly enough to compete in it, still maintain a competitive presence in the other main competitions and take a profit from it, I would suggest.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
Somehow l hope it does not happen as the top players from the top clubs have too many matches as it is each year.

Perhaps the FA will follow the SFL's lead and propose that Man Utd could field a "colt" team in England while parading their full team in whatever of the money leagues they decide to play in.
For the record I agree neither with the SFL's daft idea nor this "Dream League" concoction. The Champion's League has ruined European football and the English and Scottish top flights have ruined their respective domestic football (unless you support one of the big teams from Glasgow or Manchester).
The day we get back to all games kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday will be the day football can say it is recovering.
EDIT:it would appear the Dream League thing is a hoax....still it's sad that very few were in any doubt that this could be true. A summer mega league will happen at some point.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
Boxing promoter Frank Warren who own's 70% of boxing channel Boxnation today announced:
"There will be an announcement from Boxnation tomorrow concerning funding. You'll see tomorrow that Boxnation are turning a big corner."
Rumours are rife that BT have bought a stake in the channel and will offer the channel as part of their sports package from this summer. Simon Green the head of BT Sport is still a non-exec Director at BoxNation. The Independant ran a story 8 weeks ago which suggested BT had an interest in the channel.

Nothing confirmed yet however if BT have agreed a deal and include the channel as part of their sports package along with BT Sports 1, BT Sports 2 and ESPN America that will surely make them a really big player in the sports TV market.
Of course it's just rumours for now.

I agree 100% Chad , it gives Sky Sports something to think about and keeps them on their toes.
