Rapidly getting very confused ...
Ok, I know I'm slowly but surely getting older, but ....
I have a Tivo install booked for this coming Saturday and am now beginning to wonder what VM kit I will actually end up with once all is done.
Let me elaborate a bit - I'm currently VIP50, have V+ downstairs (where the Tivo will go) and a normal VM box upstairs (the one that used to be downstairs before being replaced by the V+). I know that as VIP50, I could also have a V-HD box upstairs but never got around to getting it sorted. What I need to know is ... can I keep the V+ and have it upstairs thus replacing the normal VM box (which I would no longer require) once Tivo box is installed and would this involve any further costs? I don't see how there could be any further costs really as I have already paid for activation on the V+.
Anyone care to enlighten me as to my options?
Please :-)

Re: Rapidly getting very confused ...
swap the boxes over yourself so the V+ is upstairs before the installer arrives, then just point them towards the standard V-box to be replaced.
The only extra monthly cost, as you have VIP should only be the 3 quid Tivo tax

If you have two boxes on VIP 50 - TiVo and another - then the price shouldn't change and be £100.55
If you have three boxes on VIP 50 - TiVo and two others - then the price would go up by £6.50, so £112.05 in total

Re: Rapidly getting very confused ...
i'm on vip50, i originally said on phone that the tivo was a replacement for v+ box
since reading this forum i've learned i could put v+ in bedroom and just switch the standard box
so my question is, do i have to phone them back or just say to engineer on install date?
