Re: Which Sky Atlantic Show
I'm a big Sky Atlantic fan,
Is anyone watching Hit and Miss? Seem to be very good, well written very gritty. Fits right into the style of show you would expect from Sky Atlantic.

It is quite good and exactly what you would expect from any series devised by Paul Abbott.

‘John Bishop’s Only Joking’ Comes To Sky 1 HD
Quote:
Sky 1 HD today announced that a new stand up comedy show starring John Bishop will be launching on the channel later on this summer.
John Bishop’s Only Joking will see the comedian being joined by a number of stellar comedians, both new, established and old school. It will also see cameras travelling the country to hear members of the public and celebrities alike tell us their funniest jokes.
John Bishop, Host and Executive Producer for Lola Entertainment, says, “This is a great opportunity to make a show that allows everyone to join in the joke. I’m really looking forward to working with everyone involved.”

But then every Cop show is similar to other shows, Every chat show is similar, every soap is similar. I personally think Russel Brand is very witty so will be looking forward to this.
If nothing else its another example of Sky investing in UK content creating jobs and giving the UK's TV and Film industry a very welcome and NEEDED boost. Sky once received criticism for buying in too much US content, now its seems they create new UK based content every other week.

Re: Which Sky Atlantic Show
Sky have had many good UK shows recently, e.g. Stella, Cafe and Spy.

Re: Which Sky Atlantic Show
Saw the first episode of Mad Men last night and it seems like a cracking show.
Its not hard to tell that the guy behind Sopranos made this as the undertones of the main character are very similar.
