Oh my God what a total joke.
I have been trying for FIVE HOURS to get through to VM to cancel my land line. 150 doesn't work, calling India gets me put through to a line that's being totally ignored. Try the same number again and it's suddenly 'unrecognised' Funny how the only number I can find that works is the UPGRADE LINE. Anyone got a number that works???
Maybe if I cancelled my direct Debit it would wake them up?

Yes, you could cancel your DD but that would only cause more problems for you than VM.

Customer Services are very busy right now. Try again later. There's no point in calling 151 (Faults) as they won't be able to deal with account changes.
And he's right you can't "call India". Your call gets routed wherever it gets routed. VM have call centres in England, Scotland, Wales, India, the Philippines and South Africa.

If you call Monday as soon after 0800 as possible on 150 from a Virginmedia phone line or 0845 454 1111 from any other phone line and press option 5 option 2 and if you forget your password press zero then you will be able to speak to Customer Relations and advise them of your issue, this line should only be based in the UK.

All that would happen is for the debt to be passed to a collection agency and your credit would go down the pan, pointless idea as it only hurts you.
