Is your Sky+HD an Amstrad DRX 890/895(1TB) if so you'll get it before the older STB's , the only box that won't get the update is the Thomson (original Sky+HD box)

You will know when you have it , the guide is HD a lot sharper. The features are currently pretty much the same however features are to be added.

Sorry mate, couldn't upload last night for some reason

Much slicker than the old epg and its even faster. Changes are very subtke and it stays in the spirit of the old epg and is very 'Sky'.

Edit: Sorry for some reason my pics just don't seem to be working

Couldnt agree more , they've made the whole thing look better whilst still keeping it slick and speedy through the menus , we received version 49.21 last night (just a few fixes). There seems more popping up on DS forums now who've received the update.

Re: New Sky Guide Beta - Your thoughts and issues.

Rewinding and forwarding are also much quicker.

All in all very pleased. Its an improvement but no different to use than before. Sky have definately kept it simple and focusef on small things that needed improvement.

It looks more modern and in date compared to the old one. It has alot of stuff under the hood ready for later features later in the year

Re: New Sky Guide Beta - Your thoughts and issues.

If you have an Amstrad DRX 890/895 Sky+HD STB it's being reported that the new EPG is currently on the DR stream meaning you can update to it.

Some on that link are reporting they've tried it and are still on the current Darwin software so im not sure if it's been made available yet.

Update it appears to be working for people now.
