I'd buy that excuse so you should be alright explaining to the missus when the big fat card bill comes in. I trust you ordered her a few little treats at the same time - in no way as a form of bribe of course...

Thought you grew all your own? What do you use them all for?

ESP? Wow - Extra Sensory Perception as standard? That'll come in very handy on the roads...

All I have left is powders, flakes and a few in the freezer. Some new adds to the stash are welcome at good prices.
I eat with chillie almost every day. Today it was a rampant Chinese Chicken Curry with a mix of Carolina Reaper and Smoked Nagas.
Today I bought a pair of cut-resist gloves as I will be swinging my bilhook to reduce apple and cherry branches and trunks to dust, shavings and chunks to feed my smoker.

Metal squirrel feeder as the little darlings reduced the wooden one to pieces very quickly.

Interesting thanks. Cheers for the cherry wood tip - I cut our morello tree right back last year and was going to burn the wood but I'll keep it now. I've been wondering why I couldn't use our BBQ as a sort of smoker but haven't looked into it. Do you think it'd work?

Go for it, remove the bark as it makes a horrible taste IMHO. I use a Bilhook to cut chunks, then an old (electric) plane to make shavings and dust.
I made a few of this guy's smokers as cold/cool smoke is a better flavour for chillies (and cheese, garlic, onions, etc). The longer the pipe to the smoke box, the cooler the smoke.

Smoking on a BBQ is easy, but you need a lidded one. I smoke whole chickens and some hams.

Just waiting for it to be delivered Den, but have grown some tomato plants, and may buy a cucumber plant later and even a pepper too. I've grown way too many tomato plants BTW.

Re: What have you just bought?
Samsung TV 49KS9000, managed to get it price matched at Richer Sounds, saving me £250 compared to John Lewis and £150 compared to the other online store it was price matched from, it also comes with a free Samsung Blu Ray player ubd k8500, which i don't want and will need to try and sell it.
