Oh right, probably from a virgin media customer service agent who knows nothing that goes on then. Hence why they don't want you to say anything.

Ever thought about it commercially sensitive? if they announced it before it happens then people get hyped up and if it fails they get annoyed, they do not want to give other competitors a edge. (although saying that they are only jsut realising how people want HD now)
I have a moto believe what you want and disgregard what you do not believe but do not question it as oyu might be proved wrong.

If it was commerically sensitive then they wouldn't tell anyone. Especially a guy who posts such frequent updates on a highly respected cable forum where it could spread like wild fire.

Fair point, although that doesnt stop someone is the inside just letting it slip does it how do oyu think technix finds out about channel release dates?
But assuming because tvboy will not reveal means it a load of rubbish is daft, although you probally have good sources virgin aint been shy in saying we dnt want HD although yesterday thing seems to suggest ther eminds might be changing.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV
Virgin Media needs to start to concentrate on their channels and their tv offering specially Virgin 1 if they want it to be as good Sky1
I believe they are not adding enough US shows that can be watched by viewers with a smile rather than let sky1 get everything as they have now also picked up Fringe the new US show which is to start this fall

Ex-Telewest local Radio Channels news:
Global Radio have announced they are to put five stations up for sale, to ensure their buyout of GCap Media can proceed.
The sale of BRMB, Beacon Radio, Mercia FM and Wyvern in the West Midlands has been accepted by the Office of Fair Trading as a solution to competition concerns in the West Midlands, while Heart 106 in the East Midlands will either be sold or licensed as a franchise.

Dude not everyone wants US shows.
SCC was the biggest import last year to the uk last year. That got Virgin1's best figures to date but still no where near enough. It takes years for a channel to establish itself properly and find "it's show" Sky one started off crap as did ITV2 now ITV2 is the biggest digital channel after years of broadcasting. Sky one took even longer and is now the biggest PAYTV broadcaster and is instantly recongisable. Living found it's audience through Most Haunted and now enjoys great viewers. All of these channels have found their identities and what works after years of sampling and experimenting. This is what Virgin1 needs to do. It may not show loads of US shows but considering it's been on only a year it already has 3 of the biggesr imports of last year. Riches enjoyed critical acclaim. SCC was record breaking in audience reach and chuck didn't do bad either. All three have been recommissioned for a second season. That's pretty good going from virgins acquisition team. No one wants a channel full of US imports though and so far Virgin1 has commissioned a lot of it's own HOME GROWN stuff. There is plenty of new first run content on Virgin1 during prime time. Excellent considering their tiny budget in comparison to the likes of Sky1
