The Fight Network may appear IF it owners can do an deal with Virgin Media.
WWE 24/7 on the other hand:
Back in 2005 NTLTelewest (Virgin Media) was rumoured to be set to bid in 2009 for the WWE deal that are on Sky Sports right now so WWE 24/7 may appear if Virgin Media outbid Sky to show WWE from 2010.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV
Could it be possible that the new streams could be used for a few HD channels rather than lots of SD channels?

They are currently testing them all as 30 SD channels so it doesn't look like there will be any HD unless they are planning to group some together to make a HD channel after the initial testing

they always test as sd streams, that is the easist way to do it, and that is how the get the hd stream so to saying merging sd streams together jsut like to get a radio one they just usea slice of the sd stream

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV
This week list is now on post one.
---------- Post added at 14:38 ---------- Previous post was at 14:15 ----------
Here some Ex-Telewest local Radio news:
Details of Global Radio's plan to re-brand most of the One Network to Heart are emerging. Big heritage stations names such as Invicta, Fox, GWR and Essex FM will all be consigned to radio history.
Stations surviving the re-brand include Mercury, Red Dragon, Ram, Ten-17, Trent, Leicester Sound and Capital 95.8, which become the Hit Music network.
According to Global, the decision over whether to keep these stations was made based on whether they were in a major urban area (Capital, Red Dragon) or completely fall under an existing Heart TSA.
The Heart Network currently comprises the three Heart stations in London, West Midlands and East Midlands. All of the other One Network stations that are not to become part of the Hit Music or Galaxy networks, will be re-branded as Heart over the next 12 to 18 months

Good to know the extra bandwidth, presumably freed by dropping some analogue channels, is to be used for TV rather than Broadband. You also mention 'Interactive'. Do you mean TVoD or gaming etc.?
I had to have my Pace DiTV2000 STB replaced last week due to "the 'Err2' of doom" error after many long years of service. The new box, a Pace Di4000-N, was showing 'TS Streams 31' whereas previously it had only been 28. Of course I thought it was either something to do with the new box or the amplifier I had them replace in the street corner box due to low signal levels. Seemingly it was just a coincidence and its because of the new QAMs. Correct?
So, potentially, we're looking at getting about 30 new channels, funding and contracts permitting. Correct?

Here the Info as far as I know:
QAMS can hold upto:
* ONE analogue TV Channel
* TEN Digital TV or Interactive Channels^^^
* TWO HD Channels plus TWO SD Channels
* 40 Radio Channels (With ONE Digital Channel being used for FOUR Radio Channels)
^^^ = Interactive is On Demand or the RED BUTTON.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV
We are always getting this news, but l can see a pink elephant walking past my house, so until the channels come up on VM, that is when l will believe it.
---------- Post added at 19:46 ---------- Previous post was at 19:43 ----------
So if this is the case, then surely Sky, should be taken to ofcom, as Sky One is an ENTERTAINMENT channel and NOT Sports channel. and also to get up the noses of all VM customers.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV
I know that this question is a bit sore, too ask, but is there any news about the so called, you know what coming back, as l recently sent an email, too Niell Berkett, asking that same question, before 'laying the question to rest', and l didn't even get a reply, l know the court case is scheduled for February 2009 ( seems a long time to wait).
