You can expect to see more apps and fewer channel launches in the future.

Is it UKTV Play? That was supposed to be launching this year.

Then I'll be like many others I guess and drop out of the pay tv thing. I've never used an app once in all the years I've had tivo because what's on is pure rubbish .

And the streamed quality from an app is usually not as good as broadcast tv.

Amazon and Netflix both offer excellent picture quality and their fair share of decent shows.

Netflix 4K is amazing...I'd recommend anyone with a 4K tele upgrading their Netflix account. Hopefully it will run just a quick through the new V6 box as it does the tv app.

If you use the games apps, I agree. However, there's nothing wrong with the players and Netflix. Hayu is good for reality TV addicts.
The only problem with the VM apps is that they can take longer than you would expect to load. However, that should be a thing of the past once we get the V6 box.

Edit to this it's because it's still called big centre tv at the moment so must be changing to Made in Birmingham next week, personally Made in Midlands would of been a better option as it's covering the West Midlands.

It has a nice ring to it but wouldn't the East Midlands have felt left out though?

I think they'll be covered by Made in Lecister when that launches, but i think rather than local city channels, regional would be better so we'd have channels like made in midlands (covers all the midlands), made in Lancashire (covers lancashire) and so on, would prob save a fair few bob too.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2016) Vol 2
Leicester will be missing out on local TV (unless they get a cable only service) as there is no interleaved spectrum available. The only East Midlands local TV service in the current plan has already launched (Notts TV from transmitters at Nottingham/Waltham).

Well Christmas has come early it seems as IMO that is a very nice app to have on the TiVo box.

That's not the attitude Den! Surely you should be saying:
1) It's going to slow my Tivo down.
2) You have to pay extra for the service.
3) I don't like anything that Amazon offers, why don't they give me good channels like Sky do?
4) They're only doing it to get commission from Amazon not for their customers.
5) Why are VM wasting my money doing this when I can get it on my smart TV?
6) Why can't they give me Sky Atlantic? VM were offered it at a great price but decided to give me foreign TV channels and slow pay TV apps instead.
