There is several polls that were done rest assured that stated a majority wanted them carl but its nice nevertheless that you are in such denial.

Polls on this and other such forums? Those responding would be a self selecting sample and not representative of the customer base as a whole.
I personally don't know anyone who uses/ used reminders on V+

Then perhaps Andy you need to look a bit deeper as there are many who wanted reminders and alas we are finally going to get them.

I'm pleased for those that wanted them and can see that they can be useful as a way to automate channel changes for those that would struggle to do it for themselves.
However I do personally feel they are something wanted by a (vocal) minority rather than majority of customers.

I'm minded to agree with Carl and Andy, however, I think this is more about removing a block to TiVo for some stubborn v+ users that Virgin want to upgrade than it is about pacifying those that had already done so.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 2.
I like reminders as sometimes I can forget a programme is on until it is well into it. So I use them to remind me at the start, or in most cases have them set to switch to channel at start.

A sentiment echoed by many Mark.

So as soon as you find out about a programme, set it to record; or set a wishlist if it's not available yet.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 2.
Which would work if I had a recording slot free, but normally the only time I use a reminder is when I have 2 things recording at the same time. Which is why Tivo would be a boost, being able to record 3 things and watch a fourth at the same time.
