Re: Films to see in 2017
Easier to list the ones I'm not bothered about on that list
The DC movies, although I might give the Justice League another shot. Zack Synder needs to remember not everything needs to be dark themed.
In fact that and Wonder Woman are it. Just those two I likely will give a miss on.
The Mummy I'm looking forward to, loved Brendan Frasier's go at them.
But anyway some more, on mobile but no dates.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle
World War Z 2
Power Rangers (No seriously)
John Wick 2
xXx: The return of Xander Cage.

Why not RR as everything else has a sequel now.

Re: Films to see in 2017
While most of them will probably be good its sad to see how little originality there is in the list. Practically everything is either a sequel or a remake.

Re: Films to see in 2017
good point, nearly everything is. There are certain things like Planet of the Apes which I am looking forward to. I never saw the originals because they are so old and I am really looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds and the beautiful thing about it is that because of the technology I can sit there and think it is all real. I used to love cowboy films when I was younger but the sound for the gun shots always sounded hollow and I used to cringe when you got a wide angle desert shot and the actors were clearly standing on a stage with a picture of a cactus and mountain range painted in the background. I went to see the new Magnificent Seven over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it because everything looked real and you could believed it was happening.
As far as remakes go though, I think we are all going to welcome the Spiderman remake and I think it is going to be absolutely flipping amazing.

Kingsman I have not seen, so dont know if I'm interested in that or not.
WWZ 2 I must have missed, I'll go back and check, and add that to my list if I did.

Must watch, I was quite surprised by it. Has one of the most incredibly ridiculous but quite amazing fight scenes I've ever seen.

It is well worth a watch. The trailer makes it look more like a serious spy film which is why I watched it but it is more of a cheesy parody of James Bond. It strikes the right balance between humour/cheese/seriousness and is really entertaining. I am glad they are making a second one.
Power Rangers very first came out back in 1992 or something like that when I was 12 so I am dying to see if the effects are going to be any better 20 years later. Normally I wouldn't pay to go and see it at the cinema but I have got an Odeon Limitless card and can go and see everything for free
I loved the first xXx film. It is everything I always wanted James Bond to be pre-Daniel Craig so I am very much looking forward to a new one. At the time I was hoping they was going to turn it into a franchise like James Bond and keep making a new every couple of years with a new mission/story.

Re: Films to see in 2017
As the year isn't quite over yet I am also going to post this year's list so you can see if you have missed anything and also make sure you don't miss anything going forward. Those Star Wars tickets are going to be up for advanced booking any day now :p

Re: Films to see in 2017
Must say Power Rangers does look really good. A lot different to the tone of the TV series and a little bit more serious. The scene with Rita looks pretty creepy too.
Some have said Chronicle meets the Babysitters Club.
Odd that they have gone down the superhuman route as they normally don't really have powers until they morph but it is a reboot I guess.
