If that's true do we not deserved to be told by virgin

Thanks for speedy reply, although that's a shame.

That dependency makes a lot of sense. I still think partnering with Tivo was a stroke of genius for VM but appreciate its usefulness is drawing to an end.

Companies have to prioritise commercial considerations. Telling your competition what you 're planning, does not make commercial sense.

True but when the competition is ahead of the game it's different

I was told a few weeks ago that TiVo would eventually be superceded by Horizon.

It looks like there will be an update to the current TiVo in the intermediate period.

Perhaps TiVo will be the standard offering and Horizon will be the new all singing and dancing premium product??

Horizon is still a way off for Virgin Media, Richard.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2016)

I was wondering from the Telegraph article if the new Tivo would have the Horizon software....or is that another set top box?

As long as this crazy system of DNP orders remain, we continue to know nothing.

How is it a crazy system? as the vast majority on here are pretty happy with it in these past few years as there are enough hints here and there.

I don't understand why you are picking on MB, OB. MB has told us plenty of useful stuff over the years, and will tell us more about the new products when his sources will allow him. If you don't want to see his DNP stuff, ignore his posts. Repeatedly spouting off rubbish about how pointless his DNP's are just wastes space on here.

As others have posted, we would still know nothing even if MB did not have DNP's. At least we know VM have something lined up in the future, and those who currently dislike the current TIVO can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Which means the British Film Institute must be launching a app on the TiVo.

Do you work for VM?
If not, why would they tell you such secret things?...Doesn't make sense if you are an average joe like most of us on here....What is gained from leaking info to you but not others? Your sources have betrayed VM's trust by leaking it to you.

Or do you have a secret identity that you are keeping from us??

I can see OB's point of view - when a DNP is announced it can come across as "I know something you don't know ". It can be frustrating.

I'm not having a go or causing an argument. I really enjoy this thread and all the characters on here too. Just wanted to put a bit of clarity on why OB and maybe a few others are becoming frustrated.
