Off topic - apologies.
You know what they say - when America sneezes, everyone catches cold. Many, if not most, Americans are very parochial, including George W. Bush, and don't know what goes on outside their own village let alone their own country. This is very dangerous. We can't afford to ignore what happens in other countries especially one as influential as the United States. Remember Germany in the 1930s, Rwanda and, more recently, the former Yugoslavia?
Anyway, so much of our TV, and hence our language and culture, comes from the US these days, we can't help noticing what is happening over there.
Back on topic - barely!

Please all, don't reply with paranoid theories about VM knowing what we watch from the STB and targeting hearing aid advertising at us based on the volume setting on the remote.

It's just done on sampling. I've only ever met one person that used to do it and they did it because of the money/goodies.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Mr Spiderplant, why has Living2+1 been placed on ch 160, surely ch 113 would be the best place for it?

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Well Virgin Media has done this in the past with MTV One +1 it launch on Virgin Channel 325 then moved to Virgin Channel 312 about an week later.
Also my total channel has gone down by one but Virgin has not removed anything (As far as I can see).

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Dunno. Maybe they are wary of changing both the name and number at the same time (though it should be ok).

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
VM announced they were rebranding their channels sometime in 09, so perhaps Trouble and Living 2+1 will just be morphed into a new channel and so will remain on those positions.
Just as along as we don't go back to the bad ole days of a messy epg with channels all over the place.....would not welcome that at all.

In the TV programme 'Rosanne' they had a Nielsen ( http://www.nielsen.com/) box which monitored their viewing habits. If that is a sample of the general viewing public then it's not very representative!!! I certainly don't want my viewing in influenced by trailer trash!

Yes! As to your question media boy, channel numbers always fluctuate by one or two channels depending on how many hidden channels are "live" usually related to PPV events.
