I was the same with XP. didn't like the GUI on 8. but if you install 'Classic Start Menu' you hardly notice the difference.

Several of my business clients are also running XP machines as they have legacy software that cannot be upgraded for newer OS or re-investing is just too expensive. Only seen one using W8. Most are on W7.
Had to re-install my electronics / PCB CAD suite (P-CAD 2004) due to broken links. Unfortunately my install CD is faulty and won't
Happily:
Managed to find a torrent file on a russian site to get a RAR of the CD. I do have the serial number and key for this product but the mfr doesn't offer a download of it so I think using a torrent to get a good copy is legit.
A newer version is several £1000s that I can't justify at the moment.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
So Apple are going to copy Google and make a driverless car.
So that means it will be the first Apple product to have windows installed
Will MS be happy?

If it's an Apple car they won't be able to insist on Apple only servicing to maintain the warranty.

Osem Jnr # 2 is off to his new club tonight for a party. He loves all the noise and excitement of such events, not to mention the Jaffa cakes, crisps... Even though he can't say much, it's great to see him with a smile on his face and having some fun with his new friends.

The smile on a child's face is one of the most special memories a parent can have. I hope his party gives Osem jnr a smile that lasts for a week.

That is sooooo true. It's really hard when we know he's not happy and often it's something we have little or no control over and we can't even explain that to him.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
That must be really frustrating, not only for Osem Jnr # 2 but also for you and Mrs Osem. I think you are brilliant parents going by your posts.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
I'm thinking of creating a "Vote for Australia to win Eurovision" page, the event is now a joke so lets have some fun.
