You are unlikely to get the full rated speed from any wireless, simply due to some slight signal losses. However the 802.11b standard is so close to the 10meg broadband speeds that things will be running capacity on your wireless. Additionally the older 802.11b routers didn't have a 100 speed WAN port which also created a bottleneck.
As a minimum you need an 802.11g standard router - the linksys WRT54G has been popular, although the emerging "n" standard routers may be worth a look.
