I have a USB TV receiver for my laptop and used to receive about 55 channels but i recently moved into a new house in Selly Oak and there isnt a TV aerial in the room.I was lucky enough to get the front room and can see that the aerials in the neighbourhood are facing forward. There is an aerial on the roof of the house but it only links to the living room and there isnt even a TV there. I have tried about 4 indoor aerials but have had to return them back to Argos cos the signal strenght is really low and i cant see any pictures.
My closed transmitter is at Sutton Coldfield about 12miles away. Kindly offer any help you can with respect to a good indoor aerial or what i can do to receive freeview again.
Thanks Ben for the reply. However, its a rented place and i am not permitted to run cables through the house. Do you think a wireless tv sender and receiver will work?
Get someone to install a masthead distribution amplifier, then run a cable directly into your room from outside, it also wouldn't interfere with the existing cable (apart from making it better signal wise)
A wireless sender won't be much good for you in these circumstances
