Strange Problem with changed webspace

(Sorry for the terrible title, I can't think of a better way to put it)

I recently tried to upload a list of films (+ Details) to my NTL webspace (the old dtn.ntl.com space) only to find that it was only 10Mb despite having upgraded to BB. So I tried the upload.ntlworld.com space, only to find it had not been activated. Phoned CS, got it activated, quickly and easily (thanks!).
But I'm having a strange problem, the index.html is ~700Kb, it uploaded to the old space with no problems at all, however on the upload.ntlworld space it has only ever uploaded once, then it disappeared!? the upload continually times out and the server won't let me resume. I finally got the file uploaded and when I navigated to the site the index.html had gone

Does anyone have any idea as to why this is happening?
