Have a VM Blackberry contract...will it work on an iPhone?

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum.

In August 2010 I got the £15 a month blackberry contract with Virgin mobile.

So far it's brilliant, I have 1 GB of internet per month which I cannot top for value.

I am getting an iPhone, with the VM sim cut down into a micro sim. I have been reading everything I can on the net as to if it will work or not, and some people say yes, some people say no.

Today however I read that blackberry data is different to regular data, and one would need a contract that supports iPhone data. So in other words, the contract I have is irrelevant and can not be used on iPhone? Even though I have read for lots of others it works perfectly?

I guess what I am trying to say, what is the right answer? I do want to stay with VM as I love the contract, but sadly I do not love the phone itself!

Use GiffGaff if you near the end of your contract or if its rolling. They charge £10 a month for 250 minutes and literally unlimited (no fair usage rubbish) texts and internet.

Plus you could get the iPhone locked on o2 and it still works (GiffGaff being strangely owned and ran by o2). Not advertising, just think its great for people who use mobile internet a lot.

Otherwise, I do believe all SIM cards that include data should provide it to any phone it is in, plus Virgin don't sell BB SIM only plans so I don't see why the contract SIMs would be (or could be) any different.

Ex-O2 People, separate company, using O2 as Virtual Network, like VM uses T-Mobile
