Windows 8.1 Enterprise has a “Windows to Go” utility which will create a Live USB stick from a downloaded .ISO image. Unbelievably you need a 32 GB thumb drive compared to a normal Linux Live CD.

Given that 24GB is the recommended minimum to install Windows, that's hardly surprising.

Linux live CDs aren't installed copies of Linux.
