New tablet - which Google account?
We've just had to buy Osem Jnr #2 a new tablet because his old one was broken deliberately by a third party whilst he was out of our care. When I started setting it up earlier I was asked to sign in either using an existing Googlemail account or by creating a new one and I'm wondering what to do. IIRC the old tablet was set up using a Google email account we created just for that purpose so could we use that same account/password for the new tablet as well? I'm hoping that if I can find the information it'll be as simple as entering the email account name and its password into the new tablet and bingo, we'll be able to download his favourite apps again. Could someone confirm please? TIA

Yes, if you use the same google account to sign into the new tablet, it should be able to download all of your apps once you sign into the Google Play store automatically. At least it can in theory!

Yes you can use the same username password.
In fact you should as your apps will be tied to that login.

Definitely, any apps that are bought, or were free offers, will be tied to the account - normally, if you buy an app, it's available to all devices on the account - I think it's a maximum of about six devices to an account.

Cheers guys. All his apps are free anyway, we just want everything to be as simple as possible because it's hard enough keeping up with all our accounts/passwords/devices without adding his to the mix.

Re: New tablet - which Google account?
Just finished loading all his videos onto the new tablet plus a whole lot of personal video clips from various happy days out etc. which I know he enjoys watching. He doesn't have many apps to worry about but I'll be reviewing them later so next time he's in respite he'll have plenty to do on his shiny new device.
Just for anyone who's interested it's a Lenovo Tab 2 A7 which we got for £55 from Argos and it's upgradeable to Android 5. Seems an excellent machine for the money.
