Thanks everyone for looking at the stuff on my NAS server, lol.
Anyway, if i move the NAS on to the other side of the firewall i wont be able to access it ovet the internet. Also the firewall isnt over kill the the firewall in the DSL-G6142 and WGR614 are turned off!
And i dont have a mop on my haed

I thought that was for 48 hours. (And the mods do quite a bit over there. A lot of threads do get closed or end up "deleted" to the mods area.)
But then I suppose they have quite rigid T+Cs and users who break them will be banned.

Callumpy, if you are going to have your NAS accessible via the internet, I would recommend you secure it. You run the risk of someone discovering it, and using it as free storage.
This isn't too bad if what they store is legal, or just copyrighted, but what if it is something more serious, such as child porn? You can be held liable for anything stored on the drive.
If you are found with child porn on your drive, you run the risk of serious legal action.

Actually - I did try a write operation but I was denied access, but I'm sure somebody with some basic hacking skills would find a way to do it.
And then a well placed executable, and it would be goodbye data and LAN...
