How to access engineer's service hidden menu?

Hi
If anybody knows please can you post here how you can access engineers menu? I like to check it out. Many thanks

Also, is it possible to connect my freesat box or any other box to tivo so I can record external inputs on tivo's hard drive. I believe this is possible?

to the forum.

I would be wary of doing anything in the engineer's menu on the Tivo. If you make any adjustments you could lose service, and end up having to pay virgin to correct it.

As for recording on the tivo from external inputs, this is not possible as the Tivo does not have the hardware required.

Don't even know if there would be any need for an engineers menu on any of Virgin's boxes. There may be specific codes used (such as with reformatting on the V+) but there is little point in anything else. The engineers carry PDA's which carry out all the signal tests, and if they suspect a box fault they will just try another one out of the van.

IIRC there is (or was) a hidden engineer menu on the V+

Such access would be against the Terms and Conditions of your contract with Virgin Media and you could be disconnected.

All the boxes have engineer menus to date and all are accessed the same way.
