3TB Portable USB Drives

Hi,
Anybody know is such a thing exists yet?

I can find 2TB drives like this, but not 3TB drives.

I'm guessing the technology to pack capacity into such a small space hasn't arrived yet!

I found this announced in 2010 but I can't find the actual product!

...and here's the same photo but only 2TB...

Re: 3TB Portable USB Drives

I think SATA III 2.5" drives commonly only get to the 2Tb mark at the mo. however, if you do find a 3Tb 2.5" drive, you could always buy it along with the portable enclosure of your choice and put it in yourself.

Re: 3TB Portable USB Drives

Portable ones seem to only be up to 2TB just now where as desktop USB3 drives are available up to 3TB.

Re: 3TB Portable USB Drives

Cool - I was questioning my Goggling skills when I couldn't find one!

It's a portable one I need for backing up my NAS which currently holds 1.45TB so I was looking to future-proof the external backup for a longer life than a 2TB.
