Can i transfer existing Virgin mobile number to new Virgin mobile contract?
At present i have a Pay Monthly Sim Only monthly contract (PMSO) for which i pay £15.32. I get 600min and unlimited texts.
Have just bought myself an android smart phone on orange. Plan to unlock it and insert my Virgin sim card.
Have noticed that new customers taking out PMSO £15.36 monthly contract will now get 1GB internet allowance.
I am thinking of cancelling my existing contract and taking out this new one. Can i ask them to use my current number.
When i noticed the difference in the tarriff a month ago i rang them. They said it was for new customers only. Had forgot to ask about keeping the same number.

if you cancel the contract, your sim usually gets wiped and your number lost and recycled to another user. if you cancel it and get it put to PAYG then you keep your number, then ring back (dont do it all in the same call lol) and order your new contract and keep your number
