Unhappy TV Anywhere and iOS 6

Hi,
Can anyone tell me when support for streaming on iOS 6 was withdrawn. I've just got a message saying that I need to upgrade to iOS 7 to be able watch tv through the tv anywhere app. Unfortunately I have a 4th Generation iPod Touch which can't use iOS 7. Does this mean I've lost this function forever?

If so, that seems very unfair. There must be loads of people which older but perfectly viable apple devices which are now being denied access to a service they pay for and used to receive.

Thanks for any replies.

I agree it is a bit crap. You can still use the app 'Virgin TV Guide' and 'Filmon' (both supports live TV streaming) for live TV though which is better than nothing.

Thanks, I'll have a look at filmon. The real bummer is the loss of BT Sport. I used that a lot.

Re: TV Anywhere and iOS 6

It would be good for them to upgrade their web browser 'TV Anywhere' to support something other than Flash which could be a work around.

Oh and welcome to CF.

Thank you. It's very nice to be here.

As far as giving are alternative to Flash, I can't see that happening. Looks like we've been cast adrift. Shame!

Re: TV Anywhere and iOS 6

Hi,

You could try using Photon browser on iOS. It has a sort of flash emulator you can use.

Re: TV Anywhere and iOS 6

Thanks. I didn't realise that there was a flash emulator for iOS. I'll investigate.
